The advertising agency Ogilvy in Beijing / China has created a TV commercial for Greenpeace, which deals with the subject of coal. Especially in China, the share of coal in power generation is still enormous, and every day are burned several million tons of coal to feed the billions of people in China with energy and warmth. The result it a proper amount of smog and pollution, is not only a theory. Not for the first time I've seen on television pictures of the haze, two cities where the people has only scarcely dare leave the house, and significantly increased the number of respiratory diseases.

The commercial from Ogilvy called "The Coal Story" tells of the first encounter of man with the coal and its further development, which is little more then stop. The advertisement shows but also the consequences that coal brings with it: pollution, global warming and natural disasters. Such commercials are incredibly important. Because although it's people of course can not immediately get them to turn away from coal, so they show on but it's time to get on the subject at all times to make his thoughts and wondering where all the dirt and the black plague for so comes from. Even in China it is about time for a rethink and I am sure that such advertising by Greenpeace will contribute a small part.
